Christmas with the kids

Had Chris and daz round forte last night. First time we've had "friends" round for t! Good times though gt5 all day un night till about 2.30. I bloody love that game. Played a bit of buzz un all.

our first Christmas tree!

Yup, bought our first tree nearly a week old and doing very well. Got the ps3 over now. Just need to do a bit more gloss work on the living room walls and then I will set all the telly up. Got nics dad sorting the doors out on Saturday and the fridge freezer coming Sunday. Finally starting to chill a little!

At this time of the year my dads friends organise a meal out. We went to the black smiths down the.road from cawood in a place called biggin. The food is all ways amazing I had pate to start and shoulder of lamb to finish. Really good. A load of booze and a great chance for me go chat to my dads mates. Really good night. Above is photo of the cow someone ordered!

damp proofing done!

... but we still got aload to do! Caunt decorate for 8weeks at least. As walls need to dry. French doors need be plastded in, kitchen needs to be put back in, new skirting boards because some had wood worm. Brill. Oh and new carpets... not to mention we still need to buy for the front room!

image load null

Had loads of trouble with the vhub that's on site the last few weeks. It's an issue with it trying to load an image from the items array but the item doesn't exist. I think its because the user has already scrolled to the next page. Ripped the image class out today and just did the image load code from the grid display class. The vhub has been resetting on site to. I don't think the above is the cause though

damp proofing the kitchen

So now its on to the damp proofing. Both in the kitchen and the dinning room. What a mess! Creates so much dust and muck. Really happy we didn't buy any furniture for the front room. Would of been caked in dust!. It's even upstairs in the bedroom! Should be another day or so before its done

new door!

Today,Nicolas dad did a great job of fitting some French doors for us and we cleaned up the rubble! Interesting to see how its done. Basically make a hole big enough for you door, put some damp course in, use expanding foam round the edges. Still work to be done. Big hole at the top to be filled and plastering round the edges. Hope its ok tonight! Damp proofing tomorrow.

first evening with a telly!

We got a fiber optic internet connection for the house installed today. Seems to be working really well. Only thing were missing is the phone line. Not enough room at the exchange. Starting to feel like our home!
