Dalby

Went up to Dalby forest on Saturday, on my own!
I did the entire 35k red run. Exhausted by the end of it. Loved it though.
Fell off once, didnt see a small jump coming and hit it badly and fell off!
My chain also snapped and didnt know how to fix it. But some fella on his bike showed be how to fix it. cracking!

jorvik

My Auntie Lynn and Grace came down from Newcastle for the weekend (20th march). Grace is learning about the Vikings at school so we took her to Jorvik. Really enjoyed it. Rained so much though. Went to Plonkers. I had an omelette. I took Grace up to the castle. Staircase is really hard to walk down, Grace got a bit scarred I think!
In the even we ate at home and played cards.

wee bonnie Scotland

Had a week off this week just gone.
To start with Me and Nic drove up to Durham. We called in to see my cousine Rachel to see her and son Alfe whos just over a year old now i think. Never been to Rachels house, but its lovely. Both me and Nic could do with a place like that.
After a lovely Lasagne we carried on up north to my Auntie's house who lives in Rowland Gills on the out skerts of Newcastle. Just down the road from her is John, my cousins Husband. Good to see him and the kids, George and Grace... Always lively! Roast Chicken and salad for tea.
In the morning me and Nic set off up to Edinburgh. We took a lovely scenic route on the A68 and stopped off in Jedburgh for a pint and panini and just before that the border between Scotland and England.
In Edinburgh we stayed in a hotel called TigerLily where we have stayed before. Cracking Boutique hotel and very much the place to be in Edinburgh! On the evening we had dinner with my other cousin Caroline and husband Rick who live in Edinburgh... at a resturant called... Ricks. I had seaBass.. spot on.
On Tuesday morning we collected my mum... and I'm sure my dad in spirit from Edinburgh Wavely train station. As far as train stations go, its my favourite it runs directly into the middle of city just below Edinburgh Castle.
For the final leg of our journey i drove us all up to Isles Of Glencoe. taking the A84 and the most impressive A82. An amazing bit of road that takes you through some great scenery.

That area as a whole is fantastic, Fort william is a bit of let down bit tacky. but place's like the Nevis Range, Morar and surround areas are great. I really want to go back in the summer. You mountain bike down Nevis Range. The pros decend the mountain is 4 mins!.
We got some great weather as well.
Below are a few snaps.
