Christmas

Christmas is just about over. Back to the grind tomorrow. Its been ok, but tainted by loss of two members of the family this year, by Cousin and my Granddad.
Had a couple of good nights out, went gallery, ggreaat. Spent New Years Eve evening in Cawood. Amazing fireworks. Then Nic drove us in to York, where we met some of my mates in revolution. Bloody cold. Went home at about 1:30. But back to work tomorrow. Loads to do on the jukebox interface. Lots of changes. The public get a look at it in Jan.
I'm hoping to start working on a game for iphone in flash. So i can make my millions... yeah.
Oh yeah... its snowed alot this Christmas. Didn't even get chance to make a snowman! Rubbish.

Archies Christening

Went up to Edinburgh on the train at that weekend For my cousins, little lads Christening. Was a really nice day. Hadn't seen that side of the family in year or so and I hadnt seen the new generation! Little Archie and Alfe are both 1 year old. Really good to see them all... Its bloody cold up north though!
I went first class on the train because it was £35 standard and the £3o first class. First class i thankyou...

Also bought Bruno via the apple store to watch on my ipod touch. .. But found it to difficult to watch. Wrong on so many levels!

A post apocalyptic photoshop of Cawood

Finally got round to doing a tutorial on how to make a scene look post apocalyptic. I think its worked well. The original photo is of the street my house is on. I then made it look post apocalyptic.
I think one of the things i would liked to of done more of is making things look over grown.
I don't think the well cut bush to the right would look anything like what it does. Maybes i could of replaced it with a bush that's a bit more out of control.

So things I learnt...
  • Used vanishing point. Great tool for getting the correct aspect on doing road re-surfacing. Useful for changing a picture on wall for example and getting the correct aspect. Found a tutorial on that. Might do that one as well.
  • Lighting effects under render
  • Use of the burn/dodge tool for grubbing things up
  • How using some of the different modes work on a brush
  • Using a mask effectively

Ipod touch cracked.

Spent the morning cracking my Ipod touch. They don’t make it easy! But at least I can copy DVD's ect to it now. I’ve also had a look at putting cracked apps on it. There are loads of steps you have to take to do so. I really can’t be bothered. To be honest I would much rather pay the 59p for the app and have it on my iPod quickly. Plus I can sleep easy knowing I’ve given a developer a few penny's for all their hard work! ha.

I used this site to do it....
